The Historic Hill House

A bespoke hospitality experience and secluded countryside escape await you at The Historic Hill House and Farm. Located on 80 acres in rural Texas, our grounds have hosted guests for over 130 years. Today, visitors can expect a breathtaking modern getaway with a backdrop of antique beauty and delightful service at our boutique Houston, TX hotel. Welcome to a special kind of adventure.

Rich in Texas history, The Historic Hill House and Farm has been hosting guests and travelers for over 130 years. In early 2017, the Bradbury family acquired the property with the intent of using it as a retreat for its young, growing family. However, the vision grew into what our property is today, expanding into a high-end barn retreat and haven of hospitality.

Originally built in 1885, The Historic Hill House and Farm sits between New Waverly and Coldspring in the scenic Sam Houston National Forest, and was constructed by J.C. Hill.

From its initial construction in the late 19th century to the present day, The Historic Hill House and Farm has always offered a location like no other. Whether you’re staying with us for a weekend getaway, a family reunion, or a wedding celebration, we will ensure your experience is unique and memorable, creating a quintessential countryside escape you’re sure to adore at one of the most exceptional boutique luxury Texas hotels.
