Harrieth and Tom rescue and rehabilitate horses in which they do offer rides with, lessons and meet & greets. They also offer horsemanship classes for clients and their horse. This little Ranch is all about the old authentic Cowboy/Rancher way of life!

You are always welcome to stop by and visit, have lunch at the chuckwagon or stay for a day or two. There are cabins for those who would like to stay a few days or even more!

What they are about…

Bandera Historical Rides philosophy is to give riders the best and safest experience of riding. The staff is always happy to take their time to show you how to “ride” and learn about your horse. They do not do typical nose-to-tail, so riders need to be able to handle their horse by themselves. And yes, ALL rides are in private groups.

The belief is that all horses can have a job! Harrieth and Tom rescue and retrain at Major Hope Corral where they also offer horsemanship and riding lessons and pony rides. This is the way they finance the program for re-training and re-establishing horses. They also have a gift shop specifically to support the rehabilitation/retraining of the horses that are not worked as trail horses or have been re-homed. During your stay at the ranch, you will have the opportunity to join in the rehabilitation/retraining.
